Summary of Role
Responsible for providing and aligning business objectives (tactical and strategic) with employees and management in designated business functions.

Primary Accountabilities:
Formulate partnerships across the business to deliver value-added service on HR related issues and best practice including, but not limited to:
  • Collaborate with the HR Director and managers to assess and anticipate HR-related needs
  • Implement and embed global HR/Talent Management initiatives across the function(s)
  • Coach and influence leaders and managers around people issues
  • Maintain a solid understanding and working knowledge of the business function and global business strategy
  • Supporting the business strategy locally for local initiatives e.g. new country entry & M&A
  • Facilitate and evaluate internal training, workshops and strategy days as required
  • Provide support and advice to managers in relation to performance/talent development
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures
  • Design and develop career development strategies in collaboration with the Learning and Talent Development Center of excellence
  • Support the Reward team on the annual performance management and reward cycle and any additional initiatives as needed
  • Partner with managers to drive engagement across the organisation
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to identify and provide input on workforce planning and acquisition
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance and employment law
  • Drive employee engagement and communications, in collaboration with the Change Management and Internal Communications Director
  • Act as an employee champion and change agent
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations and case management in conjunction with the HR Advisor
  • Other duties as reasonably requested

Competencies, (Skills, Knowledge):
  • Experience in developing and leading Talent Management initiatives
  • Strong employee relations and influencing skills
  • Working knowledge of employment law in relevant jurisdictions
  • Broad knowledge of HR best practice
  • Strong bias for action and a “solution orientated” attitude
  • Fluent written and spoken English and local business language (e.g. Chinese), where relevant
  • Able to work both on a team (as member and/or leader) and independently to deliver results
  • Ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities
  • Experience identifying, diagnosing and resolving issues independently; will take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
  • Anticipates need to re-prioritize; can shift gears and comfortably makes decisions based on new information
  • Bachelor’s or First degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent
  • Extensive experience providing professional HR & Talent Management partnering in large/medium Global Business
  • Experience of HR partnering with client groups in Asia Pacific
  • Demonstrated experience and success in helping managers align human resources planning and business strategy
  • Increased scope and complexity in HR case work
