About the job:
This vital role will join a team where they will work independently with minimal supervision, but, also take direction from supervisors when appropriate. This position will also provide supervision or mentorship to more junior staff. The dedicated scientific professional will perform research and/or development activities, in collaboration with others, on complex company projects.  They will be expected make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results and makes recommendations to Scientists/Mgmt. 
 
Essential Responsibilities:
 
All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. in biology or related field
  • 6 years of relevant lab experience
  • 2 years of molecular cloning
  • 1 year of milligram scale protein production and purification.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree (+5 years of relevant experience)
  • 1 year experience in industry
  • 6 months’ exposure of mammalian cell maintenance/engineering or other equivalent aseptic operations.
  • 6 months’ exposure of sample preparation for Next Generation Sequencing.
  • 6 months’ exposure of UNIX/LINUX operation system and scripting/coding.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Unsurpassed attention to detail
  • Should be able to lift 35 lbs.
