Research Associate

About the role:
This vital position will play a hands-on role in the company’s use of a wide variety of molecular biology and protein purification techniques in support of various research and production projects. This lab role will partner closely with other team members within the group assisting with research and/or development on company projects.  The Research Associate will make observations, analyze data, and interpret results with full supervision.

You will join a dedicated group of scientists and lab professionals in a recently expanded lab, working on the latest cutting-edge technology.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Execute experiments under full direction of supervisor.
  • Work as part of the team to implement experimental plans.
  • Thorough documentation of the work, contribute to data analysis and interpretation of results.
  • Help assessing information to ensure data quality and completeness of results.
  • Ability to communicate results to supervisor and peers.
  • Anticipate problems to minimize issues, work to resolve any issues to minimize impact on success of projects.
  • Strong organization skills, able to handle multitasks with help from team members.
  • Assist with regular assigned laboratory maintenance duties.

About you:


You’re a passionate life science professional with at least a year of lab experience, particularly dealing with cloning, PCR, etc. You are excited about working with new technologies, like a dynamic work environment and bring a positive attitude to work every day.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant laboratory experience in an academic or industrial setting


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in molecular biology or a related field
  • Knowledge of standard molecular biology/biochemistry protocols.
  • Demonstrated understanding of scientific principles.
  • Broad and fundamental laboratory skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, ability to implement protocols and maintenance of a detailed lab notebook.
