About the role:                                      

The Channel Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the network of distributors across Japan, developing strategic academic and biopharma customer accounts and achieving sales targets for the catalogue business. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·       Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel across network of assigned distributors and strategic academic and biopharma accounts and actively work with existing customer base to grow revenue potential

·       Meet targets for sales growth in assigned distributor and strategic accountsSub dealers management including “score card – target” setup

·       Maintain the focus of distributors on Abcam products, provide prompt support and facilitate their implement of Abcam strategies and promotional activities with effective communication

·       Collaborate with marketing to support initiatives focusing on product awareness, research areas, digital and customer data analysis

·       Devise ways to improve the distributors’ sales team awareness of Abcam’s product range through training, seminars, online activities and face-to-face visits

·       Propose promotions and incentive scheme ideas to drive behaviour aligned with achieving sales targets and Abcam’s strategic objectives

·       Collaborate with operations, customer support and scientific support team to continuously improve customer experiences

About you:

·       Highly strategic, customer-centric and results driven

·       Proven sales management experience preferably in the life science industry in Japan

·       Strong track record in achieving sales/channel targets and highlighting new sales and growth opportunities

·       Strong leadership and communication skills

·       Master Degree in a science discipline preferred

·       Fluent in business English and Japanese
