Research Associate, In-House Manufacturing

About the role 

Abcam is looking for a Research Associate to join our in-house manufacturing team in Eugene. This is a permanent lab-based position which will be responsible for manufacturing, quality testing and assembling our expanding portfolio of products.

Essential requirements:

  • B.S. in Biology, or closely related discipline

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize, multitask and work to deadlines.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

  • Excellent organization skills and familiarity with a fast-paced work environment are required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and accurate record keeping

  • Be a team player; facilitate open and constructive communication within the in-house manufacturing team and other teams within the company.


Desirable requirements:

  • Experience running immunoassays
  • Experience of working within the Life Science Industry.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, Quality Test, and assemble our expanding portfolio of products according to documented methods under direct supervision.

  • Support investigations into product compliance matters when necessary.
  • Communicate analyzed results in detailed written reports according to documented methods.

  • Maintain archive of control sample inventory required for product testing.

  • Ensures manufacturing processes comply with documented quality policies, SOPs, and Health and Safety procedures.

  • May be required to perform other duties as required/assigned
