Purification & Conjugation Scientist - Subject Matter Expert

About the role

Abcam, a rapidly expanding bioscience organisation, are looking for a Scientist to join our first-class In-House Manufacturing team. You will support the manufacture and assembly of products across the conjugation and accessories portfolio.

This is a very exciting opportunity for someone to have an immediate and positive impact within the team and ultimately support researchers and scientists across the world to discover more faster!

About you 

Our ideal candidate will be a team player, highly self-motivated, hardworking, have excellent organisational capabilities and deliver results consistently to a high-standard in a fast-paced environment.

You will have a degree or equivalent in biological sciences and several years’ experience of working in laboratory production. Previous supervisory or project management would be an advantage. You should have a flexible approach to work, being able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. The ability to work accurately and to follow both written and verbal instructions whilst maintaining accurate and detailed records together with excellent communication skills are a must.

Our ideal candidate will have an awareness of working to strict timelines and demanding quality standards. Prior experience in either colloidal gold manufacture, antibody conjugation or standard binding assays such as ELISA and Lateral Flow is desirable, although not essential as full training will be provided.
