Pricing Analyst

About the role

Abcam are a leading supplier of protein research tools to life scientists, with a global reputation for high performance products. As we continue our rapid growth, we now have a need for a Pricing Analyst.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Pricing Analyst to Join Abcam in a newly created permanent role. This role reports directly into the Director of Pricing Strategy and will contribute to the growth and optimisation of Abcam’s product portfolio.

This role presents an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that encourages initiative and innovation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support day to day pricing activities
  • Support product teams in pricing projects as assigned
  • Produce management reports reflecting pricing metrics
  • Periodic margin reviews
  • Support the development of pricing tools and training of its users
  • Ensure catalogue price accuracy
  • Highlight pricing opportunities based on industry condition and market trends
  • Make price recommendations through the analysis of large data sets
  • Act as regional and category lead for pricing related topics
  • Perform other duties as needed


About you

You will have an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Business Studies, Economics, Finance, or any other related field. You will have experience pricing in a dynamic environment, ideally within Life Sciences (desirable but not essential).

You will be a self-starter with a keen eye for accuracy and the determination to drive growth and pricing best practice. You will have strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative) with the ability to digest large amounts of data and information. It is essential that you have expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using data visualisation tools such as Tableau.

You will be a strong communicator with the ability to work with and present to colleagues across our regional offices.
