Job Title: Manufacturing Data Administrator (12-month FTC)
About the role
This role is based in our Cambridge, UK office. The data administrator will support key functions within our busy Cambridge In-House Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have an outstanding work ethic with a strong mindset on delivering results and exceeding target manufacturing goals. A keen attention to detail and desire for best quality is a pre-requisite.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the procurement of raw materials and equipment within a laboratory facility.
- Work with the procurement function and IHM lab team to ensure best working practices.
- Ensure prices of all raw materials are updated on an annual basis. Identify and target high cost or high usage material areas with a view to negotiating better discounts.
- Carry out data entry in a timely manner with high attention to detail.
- Contribute to additional activities within the team, as required.
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
- Understand and work to the concepts and practices of Abcam's Lab Health and Safety Policy including the regulations governing COSHH and biological agents.
Our ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, hardworking, have excellent organisational skills and consistently deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment. A flair for negotiation and networking would be an advantage. Excellent communication skills are a must.
You should have the ability to maintain accurate records and be proficient in Microsoft Office. You should have a flexible attitude to work being able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Our ideal candidate will have an awareness of working to strict timelines and demanding quality standards. Prior experience of quality systems, purchasing and stock control would be an advantage, although not essential as full training will be provided.
