Job Title:  Consumer Insights Intern

 

Reports to:  Consumer Insights Manager

 

Job purpose:  To help deliver comprehensive consumer insight and foresight to drive enhanced business performance

 

 

 

Duties:

 

  • Provide support in running research projects from inception through to completion - including project set up, design, sampling and scripting.

  • Support in analysing survey data in Excel, taking responses for individual participants and summarising them at a total sample level.

  • Create clear charts in PowerPoint, showing key findings from the Excel data and building a story

  • Review and combine insights from different sources, conferring with colleagues, to provide joined up insight and build the bigger picture to guide business decisions

Education, Training & Qualifications



Numerate background



Degree educated



Experience – work, research, voluntary, other



Experience running a research project, ideally involving survey data



Previous qualitative and quantitative research experience with knowledge of the whole research process



Specific skills & abilities


 



Data analysis (in Excel) and written research reports and presentations (in PowerPoint). 



Have written own questionnaires and discussion guides.


Be able to independently perform varying degrees of complex analytics.



Personal traits



Comfortable handling data, prioritise effectively and manage projects to tight deadlines.


Strong communicator, strong attention to detail and methodical approach to work.


An interest in market/ consumer research.
